Ed. JULY 2026 | Dr. Neha Aggarwal
Becoming the Most Trusted Name in Care, One Story at a Time

July arrived faster than you expected. That is reason enough to ask how you are really doing.

From Dr. Neha’s Desk

Somehow July always arrives before we feel ready for it. And in the middle of everything, I think it is worth asking a quiet question: have you been taking care of yourself as well as you take care of everything else? I see patients who manage their families, their work, their homes, with real devotion. Then they sit in my chair and tell me they have not been to a dentist in three years. Not because they do not care. But because they kept putting themselves last. A healthy smile is not vanity. It is self-respect. It is showing up for yourself the way you show up for others. This clinic has grown quietly this year, in the care we give, the cases we complete, and the patients who leave feeling more like themselves. The second half of the year is still open. It is a good time to begin something you have been postponing.

“For the first time, it felt like my smile.”

Priya is forty. She manages a full household, three school-age children, an elderly parent, a calendar with no white space. By most measures, she is someone who holds things together. But for years, whenever she laughed, her hand went up to cover her mouth. In photographs, she angled away from the camera. She has had dental fluorosis since childhood. The staining was deep and uneven, browns and whites mottled across her front teeth, the surface rough in places. It was not painful. It just quietly took things from her. She stopped speaking up in meetings. At family gatherings, she stayed toward the edges. She told me all of this before I looked at her teeth. She sat in the chair, hands folded in her lap, and described years of making herself smaller so nobody would notice. I did not interrupt. When she finally went quiet, I asked what she wanted. Not what she thought was possible. What she actually wanted. The clinical picture was clear. Fluorosis staining at that depth does not respond to whitening. We needed to reshape the story entirely. I recommended custom porcelain veneers, each one shaded to suit her complexion, designed to look like a smile that had always been hers. The day we placed the trial veneers, Priya leaned toward the mirror. Her hands, which had been in her lap, came up and covered her cheeks instead. Then she smiled. Wide, unguarded, unrehearsed. She said, “Pehli baar lagaa ki yeh meri smile hai.” (For the first time, it felt like my smile.) She had not smiled like that in years. That moment is why this work matters.

The People Behind Every Smile

This July, The Chairside marks a milestone worth pausing over. Dr. Neha gathered the team recently, not for a grand occasion, just a quiet acknowledgment of how far everyone has come together. She thanked each person individually. Not in a speech. In the small, specific way that actually means something. Our team shows up every day and quietly makes things work. Receptionists who remember a nervous patient by name. Dental assistants who anticipate what is needed next. The back-office team keeping every appointment on schedule. Small acts, done consistently, done with care. Every smile this clinic has helped transform carries the fingerprints of more than one person. That is something worth saying out loud. Thank you to this team. And thank you to every patient who has trusted us with your smile.

What patients are asking this month

Something I hear often, so I want to answer it here. If your teeth have deep fluorosis staining, veneers are usually the right choice. They cover the discolouration and correct surface irregularities without removing as much natural tooth structure as a crown would. Crowns are typically recommended only when the tooth itself is structurally compromised. Your dentist will advise based on what they find. If you have noticed chalky or spotted patches on your child’s teeth, it is worth having them assessed sooner rather than later. This can indicate fluorosis, particularly when there was higher fluoride exposure during early tooth development. Some cases are mild and need only monitoring. Others benefit from treatment as the child grows. Early assessment gives you the most options.

The Appointments That Keep Sliding

Something I notice every July: patients who booked in January and never came. Who meant to come after the holidays, then after the school term, then after summer plans settled. I understand why it happens. But postponing dental care almost never makes the problem smaller. A cavity that needed a filling in January may need something more involved by December. Gum inflammation caught early takes weeks to resolve. Left longer, it takes much longer. I would rather see you for something small than for something that has quietly grown. A check-up is enough to start.

One Gentle Thought Before You Go

You do not need a reason to take care of your smile. The middle of the year is reason enough. If you have been meaning to come in, consider this a gentle nudge. Not urgent. Not a deadline. Just an open door. If something has been on your mind, this is a good time to begin the conversation. We are here whenever you are ready. Come as you are. We will take it from there.
